Dear Steve and Shirley, I have been an employee at this company for about seven years now. Today my computer went on the blink. In the meantime, my superiors advised me to work from the desk of one of our staff members that was out today on sick leave until tech support could arrive to service my computer. I immediately sat down and began closing out windows on the computer that had been left opened by my male co-worker on the previous day. As I was doing so, my attention was immediatley led to the following words: Lol. You could have got a quickie. I had a skirt on yesterday... Lol.. You gota be ready next time. ;-) I must say that normally I am a very professional and non-intrusive person. But those words caught my attention and I found myself reading more into the e-mails. I soon discovered that my co-worker is having an affair or some type of sexual situation with one of our female superiors. Both of them are married and have been with the company longer than I have. I have learned alot from her through casual conversations regarding employment and life and I truly respect the both of them professionally. It would be devastating if this information became publically known by anyone other than myself. They are both assets to this company and their roles here are well appreciated. I do not condone affairs nor is their affair/situation truly any of my business. However, now my concern is should I address it to him that I came across this email and suggest that he becomes more careful with logging off of his emails at the end of the day? Or should I not say anything at all? A part of me wants to address this with him because I don't want neither of them to make the mistake of leaving such personal information available that could ultimately lead to the exposure of thier situation, the demise of thier separate marriages and families, and thier termination, demotion, or transfering of their careers?
