This Sunday, August 20, 2006, 105.3 WDAS FM & 1480 WDAS-AM present the 28th Annual Unity Day! This event has become a staple for the city of Philadelphia, and continues to get bigger and better every year. It has grown from an event with 20,000 to over a million people! This landmark Philadelphia event celebrating family values, pride, and empowerment runs from 11AM to 8PM. The Ben Franklin Parkway will be filled delicious food, vendors, art exhibitions, literary workshops, a softball game, children's activities, and free performances.

WDAS's Unity Day is proud to be the largest radio driven event in the nation! Both 105.3 WDAS FM and 1480 WDAS-AM are heritage stations that having served our community for many decades. This rich history of social activism is combined with the finest R&B and Classic Soul and the legendary WDAS personalities like Joe "Butterball" Tamburro, Steve Harvey Morning Show, CeCe McGhee, Patty Jackson, Michael Baisden, Tony Brown, Jerry Wells, Gary Shepherd, Gregg Evans, Reverend Louise Williams Bishop and Robert Brown!

The UNITY DAY celebration promotes unity among families as well as peace among people of all walks of life. Unity Day events and activities are created with a focus on family values. This event provides positive entertainment and information for all ages!
	Unity Day features live entertainment stages, pavilions, a children’s area, plus more. Non-stop music includes everything from classic R&B to Gospel, along with Jazz and sounds of the world.
The day concludes at the Unity 2006 Main Stage, featuring national recording artists. The 28th Annual Unity Day Celebration promises to be another great event!
