Someone needs to help Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. At press time, he has been AWOL since leaving the Mayo Clinic for bipolar disorder treatment. Jesse, Jr. is under federal investigation along with his wife Sandy for misusing campaign funds. Money allegedly spent on
redecorating a D.C. Home. Records also show a $40,000 Rolex watch for a female friend of the congressman. Jr. was working on a plea deal that would have him leave his newly re-elected congressional office by the end of the year and plead guilty to the charges. He was trying to avoid jail time in his deal, and he would resign from office for health reasons. Jr. needs help. If he knows he doesn’t want to go to jail, he has to find a way to resolves these matters.
What will happen to the career of Elmo Puppeteer Kevin Clash? Last week was horrendous for Clash. A young man came forward and claimed he and Clash were involved in a relationship when the young man was 16 and Clash was 45. The accuser later recanted his story saying it was a consensual relationship between two adults after he was 18. Was the accuser paid off? Meanwhile, Clash had to deal with the fall out. Clash, who is divorced, says he is now living his life as a gay man. Clash admitted to having a relationship with his accuser. He also
admitted to sending his accuser inappropriate emails from his Sesame Street workplace account. Can Clash’s career be saved? He has taken a leave of absence from Sesame Street. Will they take him back?
Sherman Hemsley is finally going to be buried. The South Philly born actor is best known for his TV sitcom characters “George Jefferson” in The Jeffersons and “Deacon Frye” in Amen. Hemsley died four months ago, and finally the legal wrangling over his estate has ended. A
judge has ruled in favor of Flora Enchinton, a married woman whom Hemsley named as the benefactor of his will. Hemsley's brother Richard Thornton, who contested the will, lost his case in court because he submitted his DNA evidence late. The DNA test proved Hemsley and Thornton are related. Now, Hemsley will be buried in Texas at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors. Hemsley was an Air Force veteran and a former postal worker.
Jermaine Jackson is changing his name. Jackson is changing the spelling to JACK SUN. Jermaine says it's for artistic reasons.
Halle Berry can’t leave the country with her daughter Nahla. A judge has blocked Berry's request to move to France with her daughter. The Oscar winner wanted to move to France permanently with her daughter to escape the constant paparazzi coverage. Berry also wanted to be with her fiancé in his native country of France. Berry is engaged to Actor Olivier Martinez. The judge felt if Berry moved the toddler out of the country, it would be harmful to the little girl and her father. Berry's baby daddy is Model Gabriel Aubry. It's been a rough going for Berry in court with Aubry. She currently has to pay him $20,000 a month in child support. Meanwhile, Halle channels “The Boss,” Diana Ross on the cover of this month's interview magazine.
Speaking of Diana Ross, we're sending her get well wishes. Miss Ross slipped on a wet stage overseas, and she broke her ankle.

It’s Oprah to the rescue! Oprah is going to help her father get out of his marriage. Vernon and Barbara Winfrey have been married for 12 years, but now Oprah's dad wants out and he wants Barbara out his home. The marriage hit rock bottom a few months ago amidst accusations of cheating and financial shenanigans. Vernon Winfrey did admit that he strayed and has apologized. Vernon feels Barbara was spending too much of his money. He says he is not as rich as his famous daughter. Meanwhile, Barbara won’t leave their home, and she says Oprah's
meddling and her husband's cheating have destroyed this marriage. Vernon has turned to his daughter for help. He wants out, and Oprah says she is going to help her daddy with the best lawyers.
Troubled Actress Maia Campbell is turning to Iyanla Van Zandt. Campbell was on the hit TV sitcom In The House with LL Cool J in the 90's. After the show, she fell victim to substance abuse. Campbell, the daughter of the late Author Bebe Moore Campbell, will be appearing on Iyanla's Fix My Life on the OWN cable network this Saturday at 10pm.
This Sunday on the 40th Annual American Music Awards (AMA's), Stevie Wonder will perform a musical tribute to the show's creator, the late Dick Clark. Clark sold the awards show to ABC as an alternative to the Grammy's by letting the public vote for their favorite musical performers. Wonder has won 11 AMA's, including the Award Of Merit and for his classic Superstition on the awards' very first telecast. Wonder was also good friends with Clark. Usher, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown are also scheduled to perform, and the AMA's air at 8pm on ABC.
Is Singer Miguel married? The mysterious singer is rumored to have married his longtime model girlfriend Nazanin Mandi. He is currently topping the charts with the song Adorn.
Congrats to Tamera Mowry-Housley. She and her husband Adam have a new addition to their family. They welcomed a baby boy, Aden, earlier this week.
Adam Lambert will be hosting VH1’s Divas Live. This year's show will pay tribute to two Divas we lost this year: Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. The show airs December 16th.
Jennifer Hudson says she is done losing weight. The Oscar winner lost 80 pounds via Weight Watchers. Hudson is the recent covergirl for Redbook magazine.
We remember Singer Major Harris. Harris died last week at the age of 65. He had a long career in Philly Soul music and at one time he was managed by our own Butterball. Harris sang with the The Delfonics for four years beginning in 1971, but he'll be best remembered for his
1975 million-selling solo smash Love Won’t Let Me Wait. A viewing is taking place on Friday at the March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. Arrangements are still being made about a memorial in Philadelphia.
Queen Latifah's talk show debuts next fall. According to published reports, when the show debuts she will be talking about her life and come out of the closet as a lesbian. Sources say it has not hurt the career of fellow Talk Show Host/Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres, and Latifah wants to live her life freely.
The Braxton sisters, Toni, Trina, Towanda and Traci, are branching out beyond their reality show. The sisters are working on a pilot for a talk show, which is being modeled after The View.

Good news for Cedric The Entertainer. His TV Land show Soul Man has been renewed for a second season. The show also stars Niecy Nash. Look for Cedric hosting the Soul Train Awards on November 25th. New Edition is getting a Lifetime Achievement Award. The show will air on the BET and Centric networks.
The Beverly Hills Cop movie franchise is turning into a TV show. Actor Brandon T. Jackson (Lottery Ticket, Percy Jackson And The Olympians) will star as the son of Eddie Murphy's character “Axel Foley” on the show.

Actor Billy Dee Williams is coming to The ABC show Modern Family. He is appearing on the New Year's Eve episode. Modern Family airs Wednesday nights at 9pm on ABC.
Actress Sharon Leal will be the leading lady in the movie Addicted. Based on the best-selling erotic novel by Zane. The book is being made into a movie. Leal, who is best known for her work in the Tyler Perry movie series Why Did I Get Married, snagged the role after producers launched an intense search for a leading lady. The movie is about a married businesswoman who is a sex addict. Tasha Smith also stars as a sex therapist along with Boris Kodjoe, fresh off the Resident Evil movie franchise, playing Leal's husband.
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart are joining the forces for the movie Ride Along. Tika Sumpter (Sparkle) plays the love interest to Hart, who has to prove himself worthy to her brother (Ice Cube). Director Tim Story, who did the movies Think Like A Man and Fantastic Four, is directing.
Hart's got a busy 2013 because along with Ride Along, his BET show The Real Husbands Of Hollywood debuts in March.
Get ready for a sequel to the 1999 movie classic The Best Man. The movie made Terrence Howard and Taye Diggs stars. Nia Long, Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau, Jr., Regina Hall, Melissa De Sousa and Morris Chestnut were all in the original cast and are returning

In Whitney Houston news, get ready for tributes to her this fall. First up, the 18-track tribute album, I Will Always Love You: The Best Of Whitney Houston, is now available. Jill Scott has been added to the cast of David E. Talbert's film Baggage Claim. Paula Patton stars in the movie about a flight attendant who has 30 days and 30,000 miles to find a husband. Derek Luke and Octavia Spencer are also part of the cast. Trey Songz, Djimon Hounsou and Tia Mowry-Hardrict have also been added to the cast.
Come See About Me: The Mary Wilson-Supremes Collection kicks off in January at the African American Museum. The collection will be on display from January 25th until June 22nd,
