We remember Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner, who passed away this weekend at the age of 69. Sugarfoot joined The Ohio Players in 1964, but it wasn't until the 70's when the band hit their stride with Sugarfoot as lead singer. He'd go on to co-write their biggest hits and helped cement the band in music history as true innovators of jazz, funk and soul. Their hits include I Wanna Be Free, Fire, Sweet Sticky Thing, Skin Tight, Heaven Must Be Like This and Love Rollercoaster. After recovering from earlier health challenges, Sugarfoot confirmed to TV One's UnSung that he was leading his own line up known Sugarfoot's Ohio Players. Funeral arrangements are still pending.
