Heart disease is a condition that kills adults - right? Simon Sudman was a healthy three month old. That's what all the charts and measures told his parents which made the death of their son all the more tragic and mysterious. SIDS or Sudden Death Syndome is the common explanation for deaths like this but a doctor gave father Darren Sudman the unusual advice to check his and his wife's hearts. They were able to find out that Simon's mother had a rare heart condition that passed on can lead to up to 15 percent of baby's deaths attributed to SIDS. That led to a passion and a cause to raise awareness about heart screenings not only of parents and babies but young students who experience sudden cardiac arrest.
On October 26th Simon says Run takes place Benefitting Simon’s Fund, an organization that prevents sudden cardiac arrest in students. For more information click here.
