Yesterday it was announced that legendary boxer Muhammad Ali will be this year’s Liberty Medal Recipient. Former President Bill Clinton the chairman of the National Constitution Center, the entity who awards the medals annually, said that Ali was chosen as this year’s recipient due to his “embodiment of the Liberty Medal by embracing the ideals of the constitution-freedom, self-governance, equality, and empowerment-and helping to spread them across the globe”, during yesterday’s announcement. Although Ali wasn’t present for the announcement, he will receive his medal in on September 13 at the National Constitution Center.







The Smith men are back at it again. Will and his son Jaden will be staring together in a new sci-fi movie entitled “After Earth”. The movie, which will also star Zoe Kravitz and Sophie Okenedo, centers around Jaden Smith as Kitai a boy who must travel across a foreign world in an attempt to have his dying father. “After Earth” is set to be released some time in 2013. The father-son duo first hit the big screen together in the 2006 film “The Pursuit of Happyness”
Today RCA Records released the track listing for the motion picture film “Sparkle”’s soundtrack. The album will have 11 songs, 2 of which are sung by Whitney Houston. Both of Houston’s song “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and “Celebrate”, which is a duet with Jordin Sparks, are being released as the album’s singles. “Sparkle”’s soundtrack also features selection from Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Goapele and Jordin Sparks. The soundtracks will be available for purchase on July 31 and the movie will premiere on August 17
